If you are using Mac OS 9.x or Mac OS X, you can use the Software Update feature to get the latest software releases. In some cases, however, you will need to upgrade your entire operating system to update your networking software. To update a network interface card not made by Apple, visit the manufacturer's web site. Typically, the manufacturer will provide downloadable updates free of charge. If you are using Mac OS X, support for many third-party cards is built in.
