There are several options for displaying international characters on your Windows computer. You can read about the new features Windows 7 offers international customers in Microsoft's What's New for International Customers. You can find information about different language versions of Windows in the Windows XP FAQ. This document also discusses the Multilingual User Interface (MUI) and the Microsoft Language Interface Pack (LIP).
