In Microsoft Excel, how do I enter an array formula?
An array formula allows you to use one formula to get multiple results that will be displayed in multiple cells. For more about array formulas and how to use them in Excel, see Microsoft Office Online's Guidelines and examples of array formulas.
To enter an array formula in Excel, highlight the range of cells where
you would like the answer array to appear. This range must have the
same number of cells as elements in the answer array. Next, enter your
formula and then press Ctrl-Shift-Enter
(Command-Return on a Mac).
