At IU, how do I access my mail on the Cyrus mail system?

Once you have established a connection to the Internet, you can access your Cyrus mail at Indiana University in one of the following ways:

  • Use IU Webmail: You can use a web browser (e.g., Firefox, Safari, or Internet Explorer) to access your mail with IU Webmail. Visit: https://webmail.iu.edu/

Log in with your Network ID.

IU Webmail provides basic functionality for accessing email and handling attachments. If you need more sophisticated features, you may want to try a desktop client as described below.

  • Install an IMAP email client: Thunderbird, Mac OS X Mail, and Windows Live Mail are all IMAP-capable email clients. For more, including links to setup instructions, see Reading your Cyrus mail.

For help, contact your campus Support Center.
