Where can I get help with Mathematica?
Mathematica is an algebra, numerical analysis, and technical graphics software package. Possible resources for assistance include the following:
- Mathematica offers basic online help; type either
??or??<topic>. Systems running the notebook interface offer a better help system called the Function Browser, available from theHelpmenu.
- Mathematica is shipped with manuals that describe its functions
and tell you how to use them. At Indiana University Bloomington,
manuals for Mathematica are available in the Lindley Hall and Student
Building Student Technology Centers (STCs). You can also
find copies of the Mathematica manual in the Business/SPEA and Swain
Hall libraries.
- For help with Mathematica at IU, visit the IU Stat/Math Center's
Mathematica
page.
- The Stat/Math Center also maintains a list
of sites where you can find Mathematica and other stat/math
software at IUB and IUPUI.
- The Stat/Math Center web site offers information on a variety of statistical and mathematical programs.
For more information about statistical and mathematical software, email the UITS Stat/Math Center, visit the center's web page, or phone 812-855-4724 (IUB) or 317-278-4740 (IUPUI). The center is located in Bloomington at 410 N. Park Avenue, and is open for consultation by appointment Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.
