For Emacs, how do I get a printed copy of the manual?

The full TeX source for the manual is in the man directory of the Emacs distribution. For information about how to print documents in this format, see In Unix, how do I print a Texinfo file?

If you want to print your own copy, but don't have TeX, go to the GNU FTP Mirror List and select the mirror site closest to you. Once you've located a mirror site, in the Manuals directory, search for files with emacs in the name.

You can also find an online version of the Emacs manual at the GNU Emacs Manuals Online page.

Some of this information comes from the Emacs FAQ, which you can read at the GNU Emacs FAQ page.

At Indiana University, for personal or departmental Linux or Unix systems support, see At IU, how do I get support for Linux or Unix?

This is document abty in domain all.
