For the university web server (Webserve), what address should I use when making an SSH or SFTP connection to my account?

To upload files to or download files from your web account, use the following address:

webserve.iu.edu

Webserve is the central web server for Indiana University Bloomington, IUPUI, IU Northwest, and IU Kokomo.

Note: For your personal web page at mypage.iu.edu, connect to Mercury to work with your files; see At IU, what is Mypage, and how can I publish a web page there?

Although you view your pages at www.indiana.edu, www.iupui.edu, www.iun.edu, or www.iuk.edu, Webserve handles all SSH and SFTP connections to the web server.

If you have trouble connecting to Webserve, contact the IU Webmaster.
