In NCFTP, how can I set which pager is used?

In NCFTP, you can set the environment variable PAGER to use your pager of choice. For example, if you use csh or tcsh, to use less as your pager, put the following in your .cshrc file:

setenv PAGER /usr/local/bin/less

If you use sh, ksh, or bash, to use less as your pager, put the following in your .profile file:

PAGER=/usr/local/bin/less ; export PAGER

Override the PAGER environment variable by specifying a different pager in your .ncftprc file, for example:

#set pager = "/usr/bin/more"

The leading  #  (pound sign) is required.

Use the man pages to find more information on NCFTP. On a system where NCFTP has been installed, enter:

man ncftp
