Which Apple Macintosh models have Ethernet built in?

Note: You can identify built-in Ethernet ports by the <...> icon that appears next to them.

Since 1999, Apple has built Ethernet into all new Macintosh computers. Many older models also included Ethernet, but compact Macs, and computers in the Macintosh II series, the LC series, and the Performa series often did not.

The earliest Ethernet-equipped Macintoshes had AAUI-15 ports, which required a transceiver to connect to any kind of Ethernet medium. Later models initially used 10BaseT Ethernet and included ports for connecting twisted-pair cables. Apple now uses Fast Ethernet (100BaseT or 10/100BaseT), which supports up to 100Mbps, or Gigabit Ethernet (1000BaseT or 10/100/1000BaseT), which supports up to 1000Mbps.
