In Maple, is there a way to initialize my session automatically?
In Maple, you can initialize your session automatically with an initialization file:
- On Unix systems, name the file
.mapleinitin your home directory.
- On a Mac, name the file
MapleInitin the same folder as the Maple (executable) file.
- In Windows, name the file
maple.iniin either the Maple/libdirectory or your working directory.
If you wish to suppress the output to the screen from these commands
when Maple starts, place a colon ( : ) instead
of a semicolon ( ; ) at the end of each line.
To load a package, such as linalg, simply putting the
command with(linalg): in the Maple initialization file
may give the following error messages:
WARNING could not find system initialization file
WARNING cannot find plots/init in library
To prevent this, you must add the following line to the initialization
file before issuing the with command:
