For Mac OS X, where can I obtain updates and new releases?

Note: Apple is no longer providing new releases or updates for Mac OS 9 and earlier. The latest release is Mac OS 9.2.2, which is designed primarily for use in the Classic environment of Mac OS X. The latest stand-alone release is Mac OS 9.1.

To find updates and new releases for Mac OS X, try any of the following options:

• You may download and install updates, but not full releases, of the operating system from Apple. At Indiana University, IUware also includes Mac OS X system updates, though it may not be as current as Apple's site.
