In Maple, how can I save a matrix to a text file?

To save a matrix to a file in Maple, use the fprintf (file-print-formatted) command (which also works in batch files), for example:

> with(linalg): M:=matrix([[x,y],[-y,x]]); [x y] M := [ ] [-y x] > for i to rowdim(M) do fprintf(`matrix.txt`, cat(seq(`%a,`,j=1..coldim(M)-1),`%a\n`), op(convert(row(M,i),list))); od: > fclose((`matrix.txt`) ;

In your current directory, Maple will create a text file called matrix.txt that reads as follows:

x, y -y, x
