Login is for authorized groups (e.g., UITS, OVPIT, and TCC) that need access to specialized Knowledge Base documents. Otherwise, simply use the Knowledge Base without logging in.

In Windows, how do I view hidden files?

Many of the Windows system files are hidden by default. To view the hidden files on your computer:

  1. From the desktop or the Start menu, select Computer in Windows 7 or Vista, or My Computer in Windows 2000 or XP.

  2. From the Tools menu, select Folder Options.

    Note: In Windows 7 or Vista, the Tools menu may not be visible; press the Alt key to display the menu bar.

  3. Click the View tab, select Show hidden files and folders, and then click OK.

When you open any folder on your hard drive, you will now see all of the files, including the hidden ones.
