Firefox 3.6 or later

To enable or disable JavaScript in Firefox 3.6 or later:

  1. In Firefox for Windows, from the Tools menu, select Options.

    If the menu bar is hidden, press Alt to make it visible.

    In Firefox for Mac OS X, from the Firefox menu, select Preferences....

  2. Click the Content tab.
  3. Check or uncheck Enable JavaScript.

To enable or disable Java in Firefox 3.6 or later:

  1. In Firefox, from the Tools menu, select Add-ons.

    If the menu bar is hidden, press Alt to make it visible.

  2. In the Add-ons Manager tab, on the left select Plugins.
  3. Select Java(TM) Platform, and then click either Disable or Enable.

Firefox 3.5

To enable or disable Java and JavaScript in Firefox 3.5:

  1. In Firefox for Windows, from the Tools menu, select Options....

    In Firefox for Mac OS X, from the Firefox menu, select Preferences....

  2. Click Content.
  3. Check or uncheck Enable JavaScript and Enable Java.
