In Firefox, how do I turn Java and JavaScript off or on?
On March 1, 2008, AOL ended official development of and support for Netscape software. If you use Netscape, consider using Internet Explorer or switching to Mozilla programs such as Firefox, Thunderbird, or SeaMonkey. UITS no longer supports any version of Netscape.
To enable or disable Java and JavaScript in Mozilla Firefox:
- Open the
OptionsorPreferenceswindow:
- In Firefox for Windows, from the
Toolsmenu, selectOptions.... - In Firefox for Mac OS X, from the
Firefoxmenu, selectPreferences....
- In Firefox for Windows, from the
- In Firefox 1.5 or later, click
Content; in Firefox 1.0, in the list on the left, selectWeb Features.
- Check (to enable) or uncheck (to disable) the boxes next to
Enable JavaScriptandEnable Java.
