ARCHIVED: What are JavaBeans?
JavaBeans are reusable components for writing platform-independent applications in Java. Developers can use beans to build programs in less time, and with fewer lines of code, that can share events with applets, non-Java applications, and ActiveX controls. JavaBeans are part of the Java Development Kit 1.1 and higher, which is available from Sun Microsystems' Java site:http://java.sun.com/javase/index.jsp
For documentation, information about development tools, and where to find beans, consult the JavaBeans site at:http://java.sun.com/products/javabeans/
