ARCHIVED: How can I get the software available through IU's agreement with Microsoft?
Note: To view a list of software available to Indiana University students, faculty, and staff through the IU/Microsoft Campus Agreement, see the Knowledge Base document IU's software agreement with Microsoft, and consult the "Software available through the agreement" section.
Some Microsoft software is available for free from IUware Online. Also, you can purchase Microsoft software on CD at the following locations:
| IU Bloomington | Computer Connection in IMU M074 |
|---|---|
| IUPUI | IUPUI Bookstore, University Library, and the Ruth Lilly Medical Library |
| IUSB | IUSB Bookstore (For more information, see the Knowledge Base document At the IU campuses, what are the locations and hours of the bookstores?) |
| IUE, IPFW, IUK, IUN, IUS, and IUPU Columbus | Each campus computing center (For more information, see the Knowledge Base document How do I contact the Support Center at each IU campus, and what are the hours and options for help?) |
You will be required to show a valid student, staff, or faculty identification card to make purchases.
Note: A few of the Microsoft CDs sold in the past had an expiration date. For a list, see the Knowledge Base document ARCHIVED: Do the Microsoft CDs distributed at IU have expiration dates? None of the CDs currently being sold have expiration dates (this does not include the IUware CD). After the expiration date (generally one year after the date that the CD was issued), you may no longer legally install the software. These expired CDs cannot be traded in at this date; CDs cannot be traded in for newer versions at all.
For the terms of the IU/Microsoft Campus Agreement, see License Agreements, and then
click Microsoft.
