ARCHIVED: Why would someone at IUB not be listed in the IU Address Book?
Because of the short delay between the time people join the university and the time they are added to the student, faculty, and staff databases, it's possible for someone at Indiana University Bloomington to not be listed in the IU Address Book immediately. The IU Address Book is updated nightly, but the information providers process paperwork and update records on different schedules. Once your record has been added to the student or employee database, you will appear in the IU Address Book the following day.
Once you're listed as an active student in the accounts system, your
entry will automatically update in the IU Address Book. If you're not
registered for the current semester, you might not appear in the IU
Address Book, even if you're still able to access your accounts. If
you have any questions, contact
- If your telephone number or address is incorrect, you can update
the information through Self-Service in
OneStart; see At IU, how can students or applicants review or change personal information?
- If your name, class, or degree program is incorrect, contact the
Office of the Registrar via email at
email@example.com phone at 812-855-0121. The corrected information should appear in the IU Address Book the following day.
Faculty and staff
Faculty and staff information is added after the appropriate office has processed the related paperwork. If you've had an account for two months and are still not listed in the Address Book, or if you find any mistakes in the information provided, contact the office that corresponds to your employment status:

Note: If you're a visitor, your name will not appear in the IU Address Book unless this information is provided to HR by one of the information providers mentioned above.
