At IUB or IUPUI, where can I find spreadsheet software?

Indiana University students, faculty, and staff can download Microsoft Excel for personal use from IUware Online.

Excel is a component of Microsoft's Office suite, but you can also choose to install it alone as part of a custom installation.

To find Microsoft's spreadsheet program Excel in the Student Technology Centers (STCs) at either IU Bloomington or IUPUI:

  • Windows: From the Start menu, select Programs, and then Office Applications.
  • Mac: From the Dock, select Office Applications.

If you need a spreadsheet program with more advanced statistical features, such as highly complex data manipulation and analysis, you can use SPSS. SPSS is available in Windows STCs at IUB. For SPSS availability at IUPUI, see the STC Windows Software List.

For information on software currently available in the Indiana University Bloomington STCs, see the IUB STC Software Lists.

For information on software currently available in the IUPUI STCs, see the IUPUI STC Software Lists.
