ARCHIVED: What is Netscape Navigator, and where can I get it?

Netscape Navigator is a freeware World Wide Web browser for Mac OS, Mac OS X, Windows, and many Unix implementations running the X Window System. In earlier versions, Netscape Navigator was a component of the Netscape Communicator suite; now it is a component of the browser suite known simply as Netscape. For more information and to download the latest version, visit: http://browser.netscape.com/

Indiana University students, faculty, and staff may also download Netscape from IUware Online at: http://iuware.iu.edu/

Earlier versions of Netscape products are available from: ftp://ftp.netscape.com/pub/

If you have an older computer (e.g., a 68k Macintosh or a 486 PC) or are running an older operating system (e.g., Mac OS 7.5 or Windows 3.1), you may have to use an older version. Netscape maintains an archive of older Navigator releases at: http://wp.netscape.com/download/archive/
