How do I save and print a Maple graphic from an X Window System session?

Using Maple in an X Window System session, to save or print a plot:

  1. Create the plot.

  2. From the File menu, select Print, and then either PostScript (for printing) or GIF (for viewing with browsers, for example).

  3. In the dialog box that appears, you can change the default filename (plotoutfile.ps).

  4. After saving the file, open another window and print the file normally, for example: lpr -P printername plotoutfile.ps

Replace printername with the name of your printer, and plotoutfile.ps with the name you gave your file.
