In Maple, how can I plot imported data?
To plot imported data in Maple, use the surfdata command,
for example:
- Load the appropriate packages: with(linalg): readlib(readdata): with(plots):
- Import the data. This example plots the sixth column of a matrix as a function of the first and second columns (x and y): a := readdata(`/home/support/data`, 6): b := [ seq( [seq( [ a[i + 7*(j-1)][1], a[i + 7*(j-1)][2], a[i + 7*(j-1)][6] ], i=1..7)], j=1..7) ]:
- To display the result, use the
surfdatacommand: surfdata(b, axes=boxed, scaling=constrained, style=patchcontour, shading=zhue, orientation=[-120,60]);
