How can I search the Knowledge Base for C, R, or X?

To search the Knowledge Base for information about single-character computing terms, such as C, R, or X, try surrounding your search term with spaces within quotes, for example:

" C "

This prevents matching to Ctrl-C and C:\>, which would occur if you simply searched for  C . The Knowledge Base ignores most punctuation and would treat a search for these examples as though they contained C by itself.

Note: Case is relevant for search terms in quotes, so you must capitalize the  C  in these examples.

Although most single characters are ignored in Knowledge Base searches, you can still search for C , R , or X , because these are common computing terms at Indiana University. See, In Knowledge Base searches, what words are ignored?
