How can I view the HTML code of web pages?
How you see the HTML source code of a web document depends on the browser you are using. Follow the appropriate instructions below:

Internet Explorer: From the
Viewmenu, selectSource. To see the source for frames, right-click (Ctrl-click in Mac OS or Mac OS X) within the frame, and from the pop-up menu selectView SourceorView Frame Source.

Safari: From the
Viewmenu, selectView Source. To see the source for frames, right-click orCtrl-click within the frame, and from the pop-up menu, selectView Frame Source.

Firefox, Mozilla, and
Netscape 7: From the
Viewmenu, selectPage Source. To see the source of an individual frame, right-click orCtrl-click the frame and selectThis Frame, and thenView Frame Source.

Netscape 6.x and Netscape Navigator and Communicator
4.x: From the
Viewmenu, selectPage Source. To see the source of an individual frame, click the frame, and then from theViewmenu, selectPage Source. In Netscape 6.x for Mac OS, right-click orCtrl-click the frame and then selectView Frame Source.

Netscape Navigator 3.x and earlier: From the
Viewmenu, selectSource...orDocument Source. For version 3.x, to view the HTML code of an individual frame, click the frame, and then from theViewmenu, selectFrame Source.

Opera: In Opera 7 for Windows and Opera 6 for Mac
OS, from the
Viewmenu, selectSource. To see the source for an individual frame, click inside that frame to select it; then, from theViewmenu, selectFrame Source.

Lynx: Press
\(backslash) to see the document's HTML code. Press\again to return to normal browsing mode.
