ARCHIVED: What were the Shakespeare systems?

The Shakespeare systems provided email service at Indiana University. UITS retired the Shakespeare systems on May 31, 2005, and replaced them with the Cyrus mail system. For more information about the new system, see the Knowledge Base document What is Cyrus mail?
