What is Ghost, and where can IU LSPs get it?

Using Symantec Ghost, you can make an exact copy of the hard drive of one Windows computer and then drop that image onto other computers. Many departments at Indiana University are using Ghost to reduce the amount of time it takes to rebuild or clone the operating system and applications. Rebuild time is reduced from hours to just minutes.

Symantec Ghost Solution Suite 2.0 is available to registered local support providers (LSPs) through the Software for LSPs section (bottom of the page) of IUware. Access it directly at:

http://iuware.iu.edu/lsp.aspx

Then click Utilities.
