In Internet Explorer for Windows, how do I disable Content Advisor?
In Internet Explorer, Content Advisor prevents viewing of web sites with objectionable content. If you have enabled Content Advisor and wish to disable it, follow the appropriate steps below.
Internet Explorer 5.x and later
- In Internet Explorer, from the
Toolsmenu, selectInternet Options....
- Select the
Contenttab.
- Under "Content Advisor", click
Disable.
- Enter the Content Advisor password. Internet Explorer 5 and later
will not let you modify Content Advisor without a password, so you
must know the password in order to disable it. Click
OK.
Internet Explorer 4.x
- In Internet Explorer 4, from the
Viewmenu, selectInternet Options.
- Select the
Contenttab.
- Under "Content Advisor", click
Settings.
- Enter the password for Content Advisor, and then click
OK. If you can't remember the password, leave the password field blank. If no password was set, you will be allowed to change the settings if you leave the password field blank. - Click
Disable Ratings.
- Type the password, or leave the field blank if there is no
password. Click
OK, and thenOKagain.
