To use an Emergency Repair Disk in Windows 2000, follow these instructions:

Boot your computer from the Windows 2000 CD.
When the Windows Installer displays its opening screen, press r to repair your current installation.
The Installer will ask for your Emergency Repair Disk. Once you have inserted the disk, the Installer will prompt you through the repair process.
