ARCHIVED: For Mac OS X, what is Transmit and where can I get it?
Transmit is an application that allows you to upload and download files over the Internet via FTP or secure FTP (SFTP). You can use it to access anonymous FTP sites from which you may download software updates, as well as public domain and shareware files. You may also use Transmit to transfer files between your computer and your personal account on a server.
Developed by Panic, Transmit is available as shareware. You may download it from Panic's Transmit 3 page.
Note: You need to use a client that supports secure FTP to transfer files to and from Indiana University's central systems. For more, see At IU, what SSH/SFTP clients are supported and where can I get them?
