When are UITS systems down for scheduled maintenance?

To keep the Indiana University network functioning as smoothly as possible, UITS periodically takes its systems down for maintenance. To see the list of regularly scheduled downtimes:

  1. Visit IT Notices.

  2. To see the regularly scheduled downtimes, on the left, click Regularly Scheduled Maintenance. (To see current emergency maintenance and outage notifications, click Current Notices.)

Routine maintenance is a vital part of keeping a computer system fully functional and up to date. During maintenance activities, some systems may require a reboot and some may not, depending on the type of operating system and the maintenance to be performed. Even though some systems may not have maintenance scheduled at every opportunity, UITS recommends that if you need to use a system during its slated maintenance window, you do so with extreme caution, as any changes you make during these times may not be saved.

If you have questions or concerns about UITS computer systems, contact the Support Center at 812-855-6789 (option 4).
