In Microsoft Outlook, how can I make replies to a message I send go to an address other than mine?
In Outlook, you can designate a specific Reply
to address for one message at a time. Then, replies to that
particular message will automatically go to the address you
specified. This new Reply to address overrides your
default Reply to address.
The default Reply to address for Cyrus
(Webmail) and Exchange accounts at Indiana
University Bloomington is:
For Cyrus and Exchange accounts at IUPUI it is:
username@iupui.edu
(In the above examples, username replaces your IU
Network ID username.)
To set a new Reply to address for a message in
Outlook:
- Compose your message.
- Open
Message Options:
- Outlook 2010: Open the
Optionstab, and then clickDirect Replies To. - Outlook 2007: On the
Messagetab, to the right of "Options", clickMessage Options. - Outlook 2003: From the
Viewmenu, selectOptions....
- Outlook 2010: Open the
- In the "Delivery options" section, check
Have replies sent to:. Your own name is the default; you may delete it. Enter a valid email address. Alternatively, to make your selection from the Address Book, clickSelect names..., select the desired name, and then clickReply To->. You can select as many names as you wish.
- To return to the message body, click
Close(Outlook 2010), or clickOK, thenClose(Outlook 2007 and 2003).
