To mail the full headers of an email message you have received, first display the headers, and then insert them into the body of an email message.

Displaying full headers

  • In Outlook Express, Windows Mail, or Windows Live Mail for Windows:

    1. In the message index, right-click the message, and then select Properties.
    2. Click the Details tab. This will display the full headers of the message.

  • In Entourage for Mac OS X, open the message in a separate window, and from the Message (Entourage 2008) or View (earlier versions) menu, select Internet headers.

  • In Outlook 2011 for Mac OS X, from the listing of messages, right-click or control-click the message and select View Source.
  • In ThunderBird 3x for Windows or Mac OS X, click View, then choose Headers, then All. The full headers will display in the upper part of the message.
