At IU, how do I transfer ownership of my Webserve account to someone else?
If you need to transfer ownership of a web account on
Webserve (i.e., www.indiana.edu,
www.iub.edu, www.iupui.edu,
www.iun.edu, or www.iuk.edu), complete the
Web
Account Ownership Transfer Request Form. (You will need to
authenticate with your personal Network ID to access this
form.) This request must come from the current account owner.
Alternatively, you may:
- Contact the person you wish to name as the new owner of the account.
Note: The prospective owner must be someone whose professional responsibilities are related to the purposes of the web account and who has a full-time Indiana University faculty or staff appointment.
- Contact Account Administration at
valid@indiana.eduto request a change of ownership and to supply the username of the new owner.
- For Account Administration to make the change, the new owner also
needs to contact
valid@indiana.eduaccepting ownership of the account Network ID and all accounts, such as email, associated with it.
Note: If the owner of a web account has left IU, and
you need to transfer ownership of that account, then send mail to
wmhelp@iu.edu or complete the Contact IU
Webmaster form.
