ARCHIVED: At IU, how can I get AFS or DFS clients?

At Indiana University, AFS clients are available for the following platforms: AIX, HP-UX, IRIX, Linux, Solaris, Tru64 Unix, and Windows.

Note: The retirement of the DFS file system at Indiana University is underway. As of April 2006, UITS no longer fulfills requests for DFS client installations. Please direct any questions to  store-admin@iu.edu .

DCE DFS clients can be installed only on hosts on the IU network that have static IP numbers. Clients are available for the following platforms: AIX 4.3, HP-UX 10.20, IRIX 6.5, Solaris 8, Tru64 Unix, Windows NT 4, Windows 2000, and Windows XP.

Please note that clients and their installation are available only for IU computers and only for research use to faculty, staff, and graduate students. To have a client installed, please use one of the client request forms provided at:
