If you have authoring rights to a course in Oncourse, you can attach a file when creating a schedule item, or add an attachment to an existing schedule item. To attach a file to a schedule item, follow these instructions:

  1. When looking at the schedule for the class, click the link at the top of the schedule that says Create/Edit Schedule.
  2. If you want to add your attachment to a new schedule item, in the schedule editor, click the blue plus sign icon next to "New Item". If you want to add your attachment to an existing schedule item, click the icon of a pencil next to the schedule item you want.
  3. In the "Title" field, enter a title for the item.
  4. Create the schedule item as usual. To attach a document to the item, click the blue plus sign icon next to "Add Attachment".
  5. On the next screen, click the blue arrow icon next to "Upload a File". Click the Browse button, and a window will open asking you to select a file.
  6. Once you have selected the file, it should show up in the blank field. Click Upload Now.
  7. You should see a message saying that the file upload is complete. Click Return to Attachments.
  8. Click the blue arrow icon next to "Done" to return to the schedule editor.
  9. Your file will now be attached to the schedule item. Make sure the schedule item is filled out completely, then click OK. This will create a new schedule item with an attachment that anyone in the class can read or download.

Note: The maximum file size for an attachment is 20MB. If you include an attachment, it may take a long time to submit the form depending on the size of the file and your connection speed. Please be patient when submitting the form and only click the Send button once.
