In OWA, how can I postpone a message and re-open it later?
Note: OWA now has the same functionality across major
browsers in most cases; see In Outlook Web App (OWA), what are the "Premium" and "Light" interfaces? For more information on
using OWA, with your Inbox displayed, click ? (the question
mark) at the top right.
When you use Outlook Web App (OWA) to compose a message,
you can save the message and continue composing it later. Click the
Save icon (it looks like a floppy disk). OWA will save the
message in the Drafts folder; when it's finished, you'll
see "Done" in the bottom left of your browser screen.
Note: To check that your message is saved, from
the folder menu, click Mail and then Drafts. You
should see the message you just saved.
To re-open the message and continue composing:
- In the Folder menu, click
Mail, and then clickDrafts.
- Click the subject of the message to open it and resume composing. You can then send the message or postpone it again.
Note: Some early versions of OWA save the unfinished
message in the Inbox, not in the Drafts folder.
