In IU Webmail, why can't I read messages from another email account?

Note: This information pertains solely to the current (i.e., production) Webmail interface for Cyrus email accounts at Indiana University. UITS is testing a new version of the Webmail interface; see Information about the Webmail pilot project.

IU Webmail is specifically designed so you can easily reach the mail in your Cyrus mail account without configuration. You cannot configure Webmail to retrieve mail from any other server.
