ARCHIVED: In IU Webmail, why are some of my sent messages not reaching their recipients, especially those outside of Indiana University?
IU Webmail does not use aliases or nicknames; thus if you
do not specify a domain (such as
@yahoo.com), IU Webmail
will use the default domain
@indiana.edu. For email
addresses outside of Indiana University, use the complete address
email@example.com ). For instance, if
you enter only
jsmith, your email will go to
firstname.lastname@example.org if such an address exists
at IU. If not, you'll get a message saying your mail could not be

address book. Then, when composing a message, click
