In the Oncourse Original Test and Survey tool, what can affect the time allotment when using the autosubmit feature?

Note: The Original Test and Survey tool is slated to be completely replaced by Tests & Surveys as of fall 2012; see About the retirement of Original Test and Survey.

In some cases, even with autosubmit enabled, a student using the Original Test and Survey tool can return a test with a longer elapsed time than the test's allotment.

Instructors can monitor submission times using either the Class Logs or the Response Menu.

Note: Discrepancies in the logs may be the result of network and/or system difficulties, and should not be regarded as proof of academic dishonesty. For more about factors influencing timed assessments, contact  oncrs@iu.edu . Include your course name and section number in the email message.
