About OneStart and web browsers

Browser requirements

OneStart fully supports Internet Explorer 6.0 and above, and Firefox 2.0 and above. For browsers supported by the Student Center, see About the Student Center in OneStart.

Note: Netscape 6.0.x is not supported.

OneStart and JavaScript

You must enable JavaScript in order for the portal to function properly. For instructions, see In Internet Explorer, how do I turn Java or JavaScript off or on? or In Firefox, how do I turn Java and JavaScript off or on?

OneStart and cookies

OneStart uses a session cookie, a type of cookie not stored on your computer, to allow interface customization. For you to take advantage of this feature, your browser must be set to either accept all cookies or to accept session cookies. Screen resolution and navigation

In OneStart, the best screen resolutions are 1024x768 and higher. If your screen resolution is lower, OneStart will work, but you will need to scroll within your web browser window to view the entire page. To adjust your resolution, see Using Windows XP, how do I change the screen resolution? or In Mac OS X, how do I change the monitor resolution and color depth? UITS does not recommend a screen resolution lower than 800x600.
