ARCHIVED: At IUPUI, how do I access course reserves on Ares from home?

At IUPUI, to access course reserves on Ares from home:

  1. Log into the IUPUI VPN.

  2. Go to the University Library Course Reserves page.

  3. Log in with your Indiana University Network ID.

After logging into the electronic reserves, you will be able to search for materials by class, instructor, or elements of the item's description. Most documents are stored as PDF files or are linked to proprietary databases. To view the PDF documents, you will need to have Adobe Reader installed on your local workstation. To access documents in the proprietary databases, the Ares electronic reserves system will need to pass along your authentication to the linked database. If you receive multiple requests to log in while accessing linked documents, contact the Support Center with the name of the resource that is requiring additional authentication.

For help using Ares, see ARCHIVED: At IUPUI, whom can I contact for Ares support?
