In Windows, how do I reinstall TCP/IP?
Windows 7 and Vista
- Click
Startand, in the "Start Search" text box, typecmd.
- Press
Ctrl-Shift-Enterto open the command prompt as an administrator. Allow the elevation request. Alternatively, you can right-click cmd and clickRun as Administrator.
- At the command prompt, enter: netsh int ip reset reset.txt
- Restart the computer.
Windows XP
- From the
Startmenu, selectRun....
- In the "Open:" field, type
cmd, and then clickOK.
- At the command prompt, enter: netsh int ip reset reset.txt
