ARCHIVED: For Mac OS, what is MacSSH, and where can I get it?

Note: MacSSH is not available for Mac OS X; use the Terminal application instead.

MacSSH is a freeware SSH and telnet client for Mac OS. Based on BetterTelnet, but with added SSH2 support for encrypted connections, MacSSH enables you to log into other computer systems on the Internet. It provides a text-based virtual terminal with which you may access the Unix shell on a remote system, or use programs such as Pine or Emacs.
