Login is for authorized groups (e.g., UITS, OVPIT, and TCC) that need access to specialized Knowledge Base documents. Otherwise, simply use the Knowledge Base without logging in.

Why can't I telnet to the UITS research systems, and how do I connect to them?

To improve security, telnet access to the UITS research systems (Big Red, Quarry, and the Research Database Complex) is not available. If you need to connect to these systems, use an SSH client instead:

For Big Red, see the "Connecting and logging in" section of Getting started on Big Red.
For Quarry, see the "Connecting and logging in" section of Getting started on Quarry.
For the RDC, see the "Connecting to your database" section of Getting started on the IU Research Database Complex.
