ARCHIVED: In the Oncourse Original Test and Survey tool, when I'm viewing a test response, what does "Pending" mean?

Note: The Original Test and Survey tool is no longer available; see About the retirement of Original Test and Survey.

When you're viewing a test or survey response in the Original Test and Survey tool, "Pending" means that the server has not yet received the test or survey submission from the student. This may result from network problems, hardware- or software-related problems, or a student's non-submission of a test. Once the test or survey is submitted, the elapsed time and returned time will be posted in the Response menu. Course authors have the ability to delete a pending test or survey response, which will force the student to retake the test.
