At IUB, in a Mac OS X STC, how can I view a DVD?

You can view a DVD on any Mac OS X computer in the Student Technology Centers (STCs) at Indiana University Bloomington. To do so, follow these steps:

1. Insert your DVD into the drive. From the Dock, click the Multimedia folder.
   
   
2. Select DVD Player. A viewer window and a control panel will appear. The control panel functions similarly to a DVD remote control.
   
   
3. To watch the video full-screen, from the Video menu, select Enter Full Screen. To return to normal size, press Cmd-0 (the number 0).
   
   
4. To hide the control panel or make it reappear, press Esc.

If you have difficulty playing your DVD, ask the STC consultant on duty for help, or contact an Information Commons (IC) consultant at 812-855-3802. IC consultants are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
