What is Amos, and at IU, where can I access it?

Amos is special-purpose statistical software for estimating the coefficients in a set of structural equations; using it effectively requires a fairly high level of statistical sophistication.

Amos for Windows is available in the UITS Student Technology Centers (STCs) at Indiana University Bloomington. You can find documentation for Amos in the UITS Stat/Math Center, the Business/SPEA Library, the Education Library at IUB, and the University Library at IUPUI.

If you are a student using Amos for a class exercise and have questions about your course work, contact your class instructor.

For more, see the Stat/Math Amos page.

For more information about statistical and mathematical software, email the UITS Stat/Math Center, visit the center's web page, or phone 812-855-4724 (IUB) or 317-278-4740 (IUPUI). The center is located in Bloomington at 410 N. Park Avenue, and is open for consultation by appointment Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.
