At Indiana University Bloomington, a variety of telephone service
feature packages are available to faculty and staff members. In the
table below, select the appropriate link for details regarding each
individual feature.
In addition to the packages above, the following features are available
individually for the monthly rate shown:

Call Transfer/Three-Way Calling
|
Allows you to transfer an incoming call to another line or
to host a three-party conference call by staying on the line

|
Allows you to redial the last number that was dialed on your set by
dialing ##

Message Waiting
|
Allow you to activate the Message Waiting Lamp on another phone
line. If the recipient responds, your phone is automatically
dialed. This feature also allows you to respond if Message
Waiting has been activated against your set, and will indicate
when you have a voice mail message in your voice mail box.

Ring Again |
Allows you to activate a code
when you encounter a busy signal on campus. When the busy line
is free, you will hear a tone from your business set. Press
the Ring Again key and the line will be dialed
automatically. On a single line set, when the busy line is
free, your set will ring three times. Pick up your handset
and the line will be dialed automatically.

Allows you to toggle the Call Forward Don't Answer feature on or

retrieve a call waiting call. For use on single line sets
only.

Call Pickup

Allows you to answer an incoming call on another phone
within the same call pickup group

Speed Call Short
|
Allows you to program a list of ten frequently called
numbers and dial these using the access code or key, plus one
digit

Call Forward Busy

Allows call forwarding to a preselected number when your
line is busy

Call Forward Busy Fixed
|
Allows you to toggle the Call Forward Busy feature on or
off. The number where calls will forward is preselected.

Six-Party
Conference |
Allows you to host up to a six-party conference
call. This feature requires a special button.

Call Waiting |
Plays
a tone on the line to notify you that another call is trying
to reach you. You can answer the second call or allow it to go
unanswered. If you answer, you can toggle between the two
calls using the Call Hold feature.

Group Intercom
|
Allows you to place and receive calls between group members
using a one-, two-, or three-digit code. The group of phones
is identified and each is assigned a group intercom (GIC)
number. Each phone may then be dialed using its GIC
number. This feature requires a special button on a multi-line
telephone.

Creates a direct intercom path
between two business sets; button required on each set

Key Short Hunt
|
Allows incoming calls to hunt through the keys on a
business set to find an available number when the
numbers assigned to these keys are primary on that set.

Last Number Redial/All |
Allows you
to dial ## to redial the last number dialed from any line on a
set

|
Multiple Appearance Directory Number (MADN)
|
Allows your number to appear on another business set or
add-on module on any key other than key one (each business set
must have a unique Primary Directory Number on key
one). Appearance can ring or not ring on incoming calls.

Make Set Busy |
Allows you to turn
off ringing for all lines on your set. This feature requires a
special button on a multi-line telephone.
|
|
Busy Lamp Field
|
Allows you to monitor a line for use; requires
a special button
|
|
Direct Station Select
|
Allows the BLF button to act like an auto dial button for fast
transfer. This eliminates the need to have both an MADN
button and an Auto Dial Button.

|
Fast Transfer
|
Allows faster transfer capabilities. This is particularly
useful when a station requires transfer capabilities
different from the customer group parameters that are
assigned with the Three-Way Calling feature.

|
Meridian Business Set Camp On
|
Recommended for answering points that only make calls to numbers
appearing on the mini console set. From the mini console,
any call transferred to a busy line will "camp on" the
line. The called party hears a call waiting tone, and he or
she can accept or ignore the call. If the call is not
answered, it returns to the mini console.

|
Music on Hold
|
Plays music when you place callers on hold
|
|
Dial Call Waiting
|
Allows you to send a Call Waiting tone against a phone by
dialing a feature access code prior to dialing the
on-campus five-digit number
|
|
Directed Call Park |
Allows a call to be "parked" or held against a DN, by using a dial
access code or key on a business set and putting in the DN you
wish to park the call against. The call can then be retrieved
from any location by dialing an access code and the DN the
call is parked against.

Directed Call Pickup
|
Allows you to answer a specific ringing telephone, whether
or not it is in your call pickup group, by dialing the
access code plus the station number
|
| Stutter Dial Tone
|
Allows you to have an audible tone instead of the
message waiting lamp

Unified Messaging Service
|
Allows you to have your calls deposited in the voice mail
system, via Call Forward Busy, Call Forward Don't Answer, and
Call Forward Universal

Automatic Call Back/Automatic Recall
|
Allows you to redial outgoing calls to lines that are busy and
return incoming calls that you missed. (Available only with campus
numbers, Bloomington numbers, and the 824 exchange; will not work

Call Screening
|
Allows you to program a list of up to 31 telephone numbers from
which calls are to be rejected or blocked. Callers are routed to an
announcement informing them that the called party does not wish to
receive the call. (Available only with campus numbers, Bloomington
numbers, and the 824 exchange; will not work with long distance numbers,
876 numbers, or cellular telephone numbers.)

Allows you to see the phone number of the person calling
