At IU, why do I get the error "#EZError in field size" in IUCAT?

At Indiana University, when using the PRINT/EMAIL/SAVE option in IUCAT, you may see the error message "#EZError in field size". If you are marking several records to be printed, emailed, or saved, and those records span multiple pages, it is easy to exceed IUCAT's character limit and thus cause the error. To avoid this error, try selecting records in sequence using the following suggestions.

Records that you select in sequence (1-14) don't require as many characters as a non-sequential selection (e.g., 1, 3, 7, 8, 11, 12, 14), which may span multiple pages. If you're selecting several documents instead of a range, UITS recommends that you limit the number of pages from which you select records before using the PRINT/EMAIL/SAVE option.

For example, you can mark records from pages 1 through 20 and choose the PRINT/EMAIL/SAVE option. Once you've saved them, mark records from paged 21 through 40, and so on. This will prevent you from exceeding the character limit, and thus prevent you from receiving the error message.
