In IU Webmail, how do I check for new mail?

There are two ways you can check for new mail in IU Webmail.

Manually check for new mail

You can manually prompt Webmail to check for new mail by clicking the new mail icon. This icon looks like two arrows forming a circle, and is located immediately to the right of the word "Inbox", on the line just below the "Mailbox Quota:" line.

Automatically check for new mail

You can set Webmail to automatically check for new mail at regular intervals by following the instructions below:

  1. From the header bar at the top of the Webmail screen, click Options.

  2. Under "Message Options", click New Mail.

  3. From the drop-down menu under "Refresh Folder Views:", select how frequently you wish to have Webmail check for new mail.

  4. Click Save Options to return to the main Options screen. From the header bar at the top of the screen, click Inbox to return to your Inbox.
