Login is for authorized groups (e.g., UITS, OVPIT, and TCC) that need access to specialized Knowledge Base documents. Otherwise, simply use the Knowledge Base without logging in.

What are the timeout settings in OneStart?

Currently, OneStart defaults to the Central Authentication Service (CAS) timeout, which is eight hours. Individual services published within OneStart may provide more restrictive timeout policies to protect sensitive data.

UITS encourages you to log out and close your browser window when you are finished with OneStart. When you leave your personal computer, UITS recommends locking your screen to prevent unauthorized access to your data and services within OneStart.
